About Adams Lake Indian Band
The Adams Lake Indian Band (ALIB) belongs to the Secwepemc Nation and is a member of the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council (SNTC), which consists of 10 Secwepemc Bands. There are seven reserve parcels attached to ALIB. In addition, there are two large member resident communities, one just minutes from downtown Salmon Arm, and the other located in the heart of Chase.
About Chase, British Columbia
Chase is your western gateway to the recreational splendor of the Shuswap Region. You will find Chase on the western shores of Little Shuswap Lake in the mountainous eastern region of the South Thompson River Valley where the lake empties into the South Thompson River.
Chase is the kind of place where visitors are welcomed and there is plenty to see and do. Go swimming, boating, or golfing one day and hiking, cycling, or whitewater rafting, or snowmobiling the next. Take the opportunity to sample First Nations culture, spend your afternoon bird watching, or visiting the Adams River Sockeye Salmon Run in September and October.
Just across the South Thompson River, you will find the Adams Lake Recreation & Conference Centre, which offers a 7500 square foot gymnasium, a full fitness centre, meeting rooms, a commercial kitchen and ample parking – perfect for your next big event, game, or adult/youth drop in!
Adjacent to the Adams Lake Recreation & Conference Centre, you will find one of the few immersion Schools in Canada, The Chief Atahm School. Other nearby attractions include the breathtaking, wildflower-covered Neskonlith meadows, and one of the most popular recreational destinations in BC, the Shuswap Lakes. For golf enthusiasts, visit the Talking Rock Golf Course and the Quaaout Lodge and Spa, just 10 minutes away.
