Our Services

1).  Advocacy & Support:

Advocacy: Championing family & individual rights.

Case Management: Coordinating comprehensive support tailored to needs.

Outreach Support: Proactively offering resources and assistance.

2).   Family & Parenting Support:

Parenting Support & Information: Guidance and resources to strengthen parenting skills.

Organizing and facilitating meetings: Leading family discussions to resolve conflict and create plans.

Formulating & Implementing Family Plans: Helping families develop actionable solutions.

 

3).   Crisis Intervention:

Family Crisis Support: Navigating crises, de-escalating situations, and connecting families with appropriate resources.

Prevention & Intervention Programs: Educational programs to prevent and address challenges and concerns.

 

4).   Practical Assistance:

Referrals: Connecting families with additional resources and services.

Financial Support: Assisting with urgent financial resources and budgeting guidance.

Transportation: Assist with transportation to essential appointments.

 

5).              Follow-Up & Ongoing Support:

Checkins: Regular follow up to stay connected and ensure continued support.

Our Programs:

  1. Family & Caregiver Support:
  • Caring for Our Children: Financial assistance for family taking care of ALIB children & youth.
  • Childcare & Respite: Temporary childcare support to provide relief for families.
  • Family Circles: Facilitated gatherings for families to reconnect, plan and access resources.

2. Nutritional & Basic Needs Support:

  • Child & Youth Nutrition:-Lunch Program- Nutritious meals for children through CAS & CSS lunch program.
  • Helping HandsPoverty Reduction: Seasonal assistance, including school supplies, winter clothing, spring and summer camps/activities.
  • Prevention Supplies & Support: Essential supplies like groceries, hygiene products and other necessities.

3. Emergency & Crisis Support:

  • Early Intervention & Crisis Support: Resource and funding to help families facing hardship and are in urgent need.

4)Community Building & Engagement:

  • Supper Club: Monthly community meal to connect families and build community connection.
  • MMIWG Day: Awareness and remembrance activities for missing and murdered Indigenous woman and girls.
  • Truth & Reconciliation Day & Every Child Matters: Cultural activities designed to foster awareness, healing, and resilience in communities impacted by historical injustices.

5). Cultural Wellness & Support:

  • Traditional Wellness Programs: Cultural self-care through:  
  • Gardening Supplies: Tools and resources for gardening.
  • Traditional Medicines & Supplies: Natural remedies for wellness.
  • Language Supports: Resources to connect with cultural language and traditions.
