Lands & Taxes Departments
The Lands department focuses on land information networking, expanding the lands program, and sharing relevant land information, that strikes a balance between cultural values and economic use of the land and resources.
Lands department main functions include: assisting Band members on land matters; managing ALIB leased lands; providing land policy advice to the Chief and Council; working with outside professionals on all land matters; and coordinating with the finance department to oversee invoicing and follow-up.
The taxation division of the Lands department administers property taxation, property tax collection, enforcement of payments and taxpayer relations.
Currently, there are two positions in the Lands and Taxation department:
- Lands Manager/Taxation Administrator
- Lease/Taxation Assistant
