The Fire Department is committed to providing the highest quality of public safety initiatives for ALIB members through a tailored approach which focuses on the safety and security of community members, staff, premises, assets, and the public. We are continuously seeking to improve and enhance our services, to ensure we have the tools in place to meet the public safety needs of future ALIB generations.
General Roles and Responsibilities
ALIB Fire Department is committed to providing the highest quality of public safety for ALIB, through response to all fires, hazardous material incidents and rescues on Band Lands, to save lives, property, and the environment.
Goals and Objectives
- To provide service to the community by protecting life, property and environment through prevention, public education and emergency response with well-maintained equipment and highly trained, dedicated personnel.
- To foster a greater sense of community safety and well-being in today’s environmental climate.
- To reduce or eliminate incidents of injury, loss of life, or loss of property.

We encourage and support leadership, innovation, and service. We aspire to a high level of competency through training and mentoring. We value teamwork and open communication. We honour our families, and the volunteers of the Fire Service, and will act with respect and integrity in all situations.
